National PACS receive praise

The national lead for integrated primary and acute care systems (PACS) vanguards enjoyed a positive visit when he spent a day with the Happy, Healthy, at Home team.

Jacob West and some of his team met with key representatives from our programme, toured Farnham Community Hospital and heard about progress to date, current projects and plans in the pipeline.

The initial reflections at the end of the visit were very positive. Jacob liked our approach, enthusiasm – and progress.

Programme lead Sally Banister said: “Our visitors recognised the strong partnerships across our organisations which are a key driver in enabling us to forge ahead with our plans to transform our health and social care system.

"Jacob and his team were given practical examples of where we’re making a tangible difference already, particularly with the work of our Integrated Care Teams.

“The positive impression we made with the national team should help in our bid to access further support and funding in 2016/17.”
